European History

Course Description

You are now freshmen again, college freshmen. This is a college-level class. Everything possible will be done to prepare you for success in this class and other college history courses. You must do your part, however. Please do all reading assignments and written homework carefully. Study, write a good paper and participate in classroom activities. Plan to do well. I want to help you with any problems you may be experiencing. Please feel free to email me. I will get back to you as soon as possible. Your term paper is very important. Here is an exercise that will help you get started. Print it and complete it.

The course content includes European history from 1450 to the present. This is Modern European History. Our textbook is History of the Modern World by Palmer and Colton. It is probably the most widely used textbook for this course. You must buy a review book. The most useful is probably the one published by Research and Education Association (REA). Please make use of study material arranged by topic that I have provided.
